What is N-Acetyl-Cysteine?

N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) is a stable form of the non-essential amino acid L-Cysteine. Cysteine is a sulfur-containing amino acid that acts as a stabilizer for the formation of protein structures. Although NAC possesses its own free radical scavenging activity, its primary function in the body is to supply Cysteine necessary for glutathione synthesis and replenishment. This unique formula also contains Molybdenum, an essential trace element that functions as a cofactor in many biochemical reactions, and Selenium, another trace mineral that supports glutathione production.

When taken regularly N-Acetyl-Cysteine helps with glutathione production. This powerful antioxidant boosts brain health, immune function, and helps neutralize free radicals that can damage cells and tissues in your body. It’s essential for immune health and fighting cellular damage. N-Acetyl-Cysteine also helps with detoxification to prevent or diminish kidney and liver damage, may improve psychiatric disorders and addictive behavior, helps relieve symptoms of respiratory conditions, may improve fertility in both men and women, may stabilize blood sugar by decreasing inflammation in fat cells, and may reduce heart disease risk by preventing oxidative stress,.
