If you ever buy a brand new John Ellis Water Machine you need to check the fan assembly that sits on top of the Living Water Machine pot to ensure its operational. If it does not spin freely when you try to turn the fan blades manually (e.g., without it plugged in) it needs to be lubricated, and this requires you to take the entire fan apart to be able to lubricate it with WD-40. If you are able to get the fan assembly started with a litte push on the fan baldes when its plugged it it still needs to be lubricated.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT LEAVE THE FAN ASSEMBLY PLUGGED IN IF IT IS NOT SPINNING BECAUSE DOING SO WILL BURN UP THE FAN MOTOR, AND YOU WILL HAVE TO REPURCHASE ANOTHER ONE.
