Water Ionizers change the potential hydrogen (pH) of the water.  Water that is Hydrogen rich has a high concentration of Molecular Hydrogen (H2).  Molecular Hydrogen acts as an efficient antioxidant that diffuses rapidly across cell membranes and can reduce free radicals, stopping oxidative stress.  Oxidation is the loss of electrons and anti-oxidation is the gain of electrons in water.  Oxidation reactions produce free radicals in the body, and antioxidants stop these reactions.  High levels of oxidants and insufficient antioxidants in the body is what causes oxidative stress.  Therefore, we should consume a diet that is high in antioxidants and care about the quality and quantity of the water we drink to reduce damage caused by oxidative stress.

• Alkaline levels 1–2: The owner’s manual recommends these settings for drinking.

• Alkaline level 3: Suggested for preparing grains, rice, beans, and pasta.

• Alkaline level 4: Suggested for coffee and tea.

• Alkaline level 5: Suggested for vegetable preparation. Do not assume the strongest setting is the best choice for routine drinking.

• Purified water: Filtered water without electrolysis. Its pH depends on the incoming water; it is not guaranteed to be exactly a pH of 7.

• Acidic level 1: Intended for selected external washing uses, such as face and hair washing.

• Acidic level 2: Intended for selected household cleaning tasks. Do not describe it as a proven disinfectant solely because it is acidic.
